Cataclysm!

A third expansion has been announced for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm!

The dragon aspect Neltharion the Earth-Warder, better known as Deathwing the Destroyer, is back. With a vengeance. Most of Azeroth will be altered whether we get the expension or not. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, the Azeroth as we know it is a familiar place you know like the back of your hand. On the other, what Blizzard themselves say makes sense. Blizzard says (from the FAQ):

“Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are central to World of Warcraft lore, and we want those areas to remain an important part of the game, not just a place to train or auction“.

With this complete overhaul, I hope they won’t reset achievements as everyone would have to start over. Not too popular a move I guess…

An additional two playable races will be added. Worgen and goblins. Might make things interesting. Also, the graphics engine will be updated. Yummy.
